Xiaomi Cloud Find device
A Xiaomi Account must be signed in and Xiaomi Cloud Find device enabled. Google Find Hub separately needs the Google account on the phone.
Open the official Xiaomi Cloud Find device service
Settings to prepare on the phone
Settings > Xiaomi Account > Xiaomi Cloud > Find deviceSettings > Passwords & security > Privacy > Find My DeviceSettings > Google > All services > Find Hub
- Enable Xiaomi Cloud Find device before loss.
- Allow location and review battery restrictions affecting SafeMyPhone.
Use Google Find Hub on Xiaomi
Go to Google Find Hub on a trusted device and sign in with the Google account already connected to the missing phone. Select the correct device. Available actions can include Play sound, Mark as lost, and Factory reset. Google requires appropriate prior account, device visibility, finding settings, power, and connectivity; an available location can be approximate or old.
Supported functionality
- Xiaomi Cloud may locate, sound, lock, or erase supported devices.
- Google Find Hub remains useful when the Google account and requirements are present.
Remote lock and erase instructions
Lock the phone
At i.mi.com choose Find device and use Lost mode when available; Google Find Hub Mark as lost is an alternative.
Erase only after considering the tradeoff
Use the Xiaomi Cloud erase option or Google factory reset only after verifying the correct device and understanding that local data is permanent.
Offline limitations and important restrictions
Xiaomi Cloud commands normally need power and internet. Google offline-network behavior depends on Android version, region, and prior settings.
- MIUI and HyperOS menu paths differ.
- Xiaomi Cloud availability varies by market.
- Aggressive battery controls can affect background apps including SafeMyPhone.
SIM, carrier, and IMEI actions
Call the carrier through a verified number to suspend or replace the SIM when account codes or unauthorized use are at risk. Ask for a case reference and device-blocking options.
Where to find the IMEI
Find the Xiaomi IMEI on the original box, receipt, carrier portal, or the device details/settings area of the official finding service when offered. Keep it private and provide it to the carrier or authorities.
SafeMyPhone compatibility on Xiaomi
SafeMyPhone can run on supported Xiaomi Android phones only when it was installed and configured before loss, with required permissions, background operation, and connectivity. Manufacturer power controls may delay or stop alerts.
SafeMyPhone does not replace Google or manufacturer recovery services and cannot retroactively configure a missing phone.
Xiaomi troubleshooting
- Check whether the phone appears at i.mi.com under the expected Xiaomi Account.
- For SafeMyPhone, review Autostart and battery setting availability on the exact HyperOS or MIUI release.
Privacy and personal safety
Use only official account portals on a trusted device. Never publish a recovery key, live location, IMEI, verification code, or lock-screen PIN. Do not confront a suspected thief.
