HUAWEI Cloud Find Device
The phone must already be signed in to a HUAWEI ID with Find Device enabled. Google Find Hub applies only to Huawei models that include and retain Google services.
Open the official HUAWEI Cloud Find Device service
Settings to prepare on the phone
Settings > HUAWEI ID > Cloud > Find DeviceSettings > Security > Find DeviceSettings > Apps > App launch
- Enable Find Device and Send last location.
- Set SafeMyPhone App launch to manual management with required background options when available.
Use Google Find Hub on Huawei
Go to Google Find Hub on a trusted device and sign in with the Google account already connected to the missing phone. Select the correct device. Available actions can include Play sound, Mark as lost, and Factory reset. Google requires appropriate prior account, device visibility, finding settings, power, and connectivity; an available location can be approximate or old.
Supported functionality
- HUAWEI Cloud can locate, play sound, use Lost mode, and erase on supported devices.
- Google Find Hub availability depends on the specific Huawei generation and market.
Remote lock and erase instructions
Lock the phone
At cloud.huawei.com open Find Device, select the phone, then use Lost mode to lock and display a message.
Erase only after considering the tradeoff
HUAWEI Cloud Erase data requires account verification. Huawei documents that cloud data is not erased; behavior after erase differs from Google Find Hub.
Offline limitations and important restrictions
Huawei requires the device to be powered on, online, signed in to the HUAWEI ID, and previously enabled for successful fresh location.
- Cloud availability depends on the HUAWEI ID region.
- Some older and newer Huawei devices have very different Google service support.
- App launch management can limit SafeMyPhone.
SIM, carrier, and IMEI actions
Call the carrier through a verified number to suspend or replace the SIM when account codes or unauthorized use are at risk. Ask for a case reference and device-blocking options.
Where to find the IMEI
Find the Huawei IMEI on the original box, receipt, carrier portal, or the device details/settings area of the official finding service when offered. Keep it private and provide it to the carrier or authorities.
SafeMyPhone compatibility on Huawei
SafeMyPhone can run on supported Huawei Android phones only when it was installed and configured before loss, with required permissions, background operation, and connectivity. Manufacturer power controls may delay or stop alerts.
SafeMyPhone does not replace Google or manufacturer recovery services and cannot retroactively configure a missing phone.
Huawei troubleshooting
- Confirm the HUAWEI ID region supports Find Device.
- If location fails, verify power, internet, account sign-in, and prior Find Device status.
Privacy and personal safety
Use only official account portals on a trusted device. Never publish a recovery key, live location, IMEI, verification code, or lock-screen PIN. Do not confront a suspected thief.
