Honor recovery service and account

HONOR Find Device / Google Find Hub

Newer global HONOR phones commonly use Google Find Hub; HONOR ID cloud features vary by model, software generation, and market.

Open the official HONOR Find Device / Google Find Hub service

Settings to prepare on the phone

  • Settings > Security > Find Device
  • Settings > Google > All services > Find Hub
  • Settings > Apps > App launch
  • Enable the Find Device service shown on the phone.
  • Review App launch and background permissions for SafeMyPhone in MagicOS.

Use Google Find Hub on Honor

Go to Google Find Hub on a trusted device and sign in with the Google account already connected to the missing phone. Select the correct device. Available actions can include Play sound, Mark as lost, and Factory reset. Google requires appropriate prior account, device visibility, finding settings, power, and connectivity; an available location can be approximate or old.

Supported functionality

  • Google Find Hub is available on many current global HONOR models.
  • SafeMyPhone compatibility depends on MagicOS permissions and App launch management.

Remote lock and erase instructions

Lock the phone

Use Google Find Hub Mark as lost on Google-enabled HONOR devices; use only the official regional HONOR service if it was set up previously.

Erase only after considering the tradeoff

Use the verified service that already lists the device. Erase only after considering local backups and later finding capability.

Offline limitations and important restrictions

MagicOS offline support follows the enabled Google or regional service and cannot guarantee a current position.

  • HONOR devices separated from Huawei across product generations.
  • Do not use Huawei Cloud unless the exact older device was actually registered there.
  • Regional firmware changes services.

SIM, carrier, and IMEI actions

Call the carrier through a verified number to suspend or replace the SIM when account codes or unauthorized use are at risk. Ask for a case reference and device-blocking options.

Where to find the IMEI

Find the Honor IMEI on the original box, receipt, carrier portal, or the device details/settings area of the official finding service when offered. Keep it private and provide it to the carrier or authorities.

SafeMyPhone compatibility on Honor

SafeMyPhone can run on supported Honor Android phones only when it was installed and configured before loss, with required permissions, background operation, and connectivity. Manufacturer power controls may delay or stop alerts.

SafeMyPhone does not replace Google or manufacturer recovery services and cannot retroactively configure a missing phone.

Honor troubleshooting

  1. Identify whether the phone uses an HONOR ID, HUAWEI ID, or Google account before choosing a portal.
  2. Review MagicOS App launch settings for SafeMyPhone.

Privacy and personal safety

Use only official account portals on a trusted device. Never publish a recovery key, live location, IMEI, verification code, or lock-screen PIN. Do not confront a suspected thief.
